Why label new release 5.6.2 rather then 5.5.10?
What defines the incremental?

See Release Notes  :-)

"This is the first version of IMatch 5 which has been compiled and built using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015. In addition, I have migrated IMatch to the latest versions of most 3rd party libraries, toolkits and components. This version also ships with an updated version of the user interface library, which solves several more or less subtle problems reported by users over time. For example, the annoying 'mouse grab' near the IMatch window borders issue.

Migrating everything was a huge effort (big sigh!), but necessary. Many of the new developments and features I have planned for the future require the new platform. I now also have better tools for testing and debugging, which is always good.

These substantial changes are the reason why I've decided to update the minor version number to 6."

Are these development changes also the reason why the download size has increased from 87Mb to 99Mb?  (Just curious . . . )

Yup. Sign of our times. Everything seems to get bigger. Just look at all the SUV's driving around... ;)
