I set up my laptop with Win 10 from scratch.
I installed Imatch, I copied the old .pts file and recovered from a Pack@Go package.
All ended up as before except that the custom tabs on the category (assignment) panel are missing.
Could it be that that setting is not stored by P&G?

Mario

That's a setting that is stored on a per-user / per-machine basis. This is why it comes up with default settings if your new computer has a different name,

On a relatively recent release Mario allowed us to override the stored per-user/per-machine setup.
If you go into Preferences | application > User Name Alias and use same username as on your previous machine all .pts file parameters should be setup as in previous account.

The settings in question are per-machine (depending on the computer name), so using the Alias to force a different user name will not help in this case. IMatch stores settings which depend on computer-specific metrics like screen size, resolution, DPI, color depth, chipset, Windows version etc. on a per-computer basis.

I restored on the same machine and the same OS ( Win 10.)  Where are these machine dependent settings stored?

PS: the settings for the viewer panel layouts aren't stored either.

Mario

All IMatch settings are stored in the IMatch settings database IMatch5.pts.
If you have changed the computer name, the machine-dependent settings are no longer accessible.
