I have read help and it seems very clear and obvious. But I can't make the program behave in the manner described.
I label a handful of images with a green label (which will indicate "done" in relation to my keywording task). I expect that I will want to be able to filter out those images I've already worked on.
To see if that works, I select @all in the categories window, then in the filter window on the right I click on the green label, tick the "rating, label & collection" box, and click the "apply filter" button. But nothing happens.
I tried applying a star rating to a handful of images, then tried to filter for just those images. Again, nothing changes in central file view window. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the sure the filter manager is expanded and the Filter Panel checked.

All filters can be individually enabled and disabled.

1. Make sure the the filters you are working with are enabled (blue bar):

2. Make sure that the Filter Panel entry in the Filter Manager list at the top is checked.

Thank you both! My apologies in particular for missing essentially the same answer in another post. I know that the kindness and patience offered to noobs is tested when the answer they're looking for is already right there in the forums. I promise I will look harder before I post any more evidence of my ignorance!
