I have read the help topic, but I do not understand how to set up database portability.

I have 2 computers and use Pack & Go to back up and restore the database.

My files are stored as follows

                                       Main computer                      Laptop
                                       Peter-PC                                 Peter-mobile

Processed files                C:\users\peter\pictures        E:\pictures    (an external hard drive where files form C drive are backed up)

Original RAW & jpg's       G:\digital originals                 G:\digital originals   (external hard drive)

What do enter under source and target for each computer?

Mario

For the Peter mobile computer you would enter

Source : C:\users\peter\pictures
Target: E:\pictures

Because you want to relocate from C:\... to E:\... when the database is opened.

Thanks Mario for the super-quick reply.

I assume that I do not need to include the G: drive, as it used by both computers?

And if I wish to restore from the Peter-mobile, the source and target are reversed on Peter-PC?

Mario

You don't need to relocate G: if it is the same drive (you mentioned external hard drive).
And reverse on the other computer.
