Since a short time I use a monitor profile in the windows color management.
In IMatch Settings/Applications/Viewer the setting for color management is "yes"
Nevertheless the monitor profile is not used. In other application the monitor profile is used.
Why is the monitor profile not used?

This usually works automatically. IMatch asks Windows for the monitor profile for the monitor on which the Viewer is displayed and then tells DirectX to use it.
What kind of monitor profile do you use? How was it created?

Make a quick check with the attached profile.

1. Download and extract it to C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

2. Open the Advanced Monitor settings in Windows, click on Color Management

3. Under "Profile associated with this device", click "Add" and choose the "CX_Weird" profile. This profile will produce very noticeable false colors if it is correctly applied. If IMatch uses the monitor profile, all images in IMatch will look weird.

Don't forget to remove the weird profile and re-establish whatever profile you had set for your monitor before.

The monitor profile I used in the Windows Color System was delivered with the monitor, which is a Benq FP 91 G P.

I applied the profile CX_Monitor_weird.icc in the Windows Color System as monitor profile, but is has no effect. Neither in ViewNX nor in IMatch. Colors do not change. When I choose CX_Monitor_weird.icc in GIMP as monitor profile I can see the effect very well.
I use Windows 10.

This profile works here under Windows 10 on two computers.
Show me how you've added the profile in Windows 10. This is how it looks on my system:

Note: You need to restart IMatch after changing the monitor profile.

And this is how it affects the display of files in IMatch (Annotations are not part of the image and thus not affected by the color profile):

With my default color profile for that monitor:

The profile doesn´t work on my computer.

Windows 10, color management settings:

After I selected the profile for the monitor, I closed the color mangement window and started IMatch.

IMatch 5.4.18 Quickview panel:

IMatch 5.4?
Support for IMatch 5.4 has been discontinued.

That's a really old version. Wasn't there a setting where you had to enable color management?
Edit > Preferences > Application: Viewer...
I don't recall anymore, sorry.

Color management was enabled in IMatch 5.4 before I tested the monitor profiles.
(Preferences/Applications/Viewer/Color Management: Yes).
For me it look as if Window did not accept the "CX_Weird"-profile.
I will no longer search for the reasons and will work without color mangement.
Thank you for support.

When you try to use an unsupported color profile  (e.g., a printer profile) for a monitor, Windows usually reports an error when you add it.
I'm pretty sure that I tried the weird profile on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 and it always could be assigned and IMatch 5 used it.

The legacy 5.,4 and previous versions used software-based color management based on an open source color management library. IMatch 5.5 and later uses the built-in color management in Windows, which performs in parts on the GPU and is much faster. It also works with the fluid DirectX-based image rendering IMatch 5.5 and later use.
