In Imatch 3 in the upper right hand cornrows you had X, a sure box , and a mi·nus sign, but in Imatch 5  you don't have any any of these. Are these replaced with any thing. You could close the programe by clicking on the X. Now what can you close the program with?

I don't follow: IMatch uses standard Windows controls to minimize, maximize and close (X), as shown in attached screen shot. You must have somehow 'ultra maximized' the IMatch window...

In any event, you can close the program by selecting Database/Exit (or Alt-F4).

Most likely you have resized the IMatch window to be larger than your screen and thus you have moved the caption bar outside the visible area.
Drag any of the corners to make it smaller.

The minimize, maximize and close icons seem to be in the upper right hand corner of your IMatch window, based on your screenshot...

I can also see the minimize. maximize and close icons.
If you are expecting a red X, that's just how Windows Explorer and some other Microsoft apps present these icons. IMatch and many other apps use different icons or different themes.

In your very own screen shot:

If you cannot see these anymore, move the IMatch window down. You have moved the caption bar outside of the visible area of your monitor.

You're pointing to an IMatch panel in your screenshot. See the Help for "Panel Introduction" for more about how to show/hide/switch/etc different panels and also how to maximize or dock them. They work differently than the minimize/maximize/close controls for the IMatch program window.
