Option for clear current filter

Is it possible to have the clear current filter option, which is at present part of the filter settings drop-down, shown as an icon on the filter panel toolbar? I know it's only one extra click, but what with having to position the mouse twice, those clicks all add up if you use the filter panel a lot as I am beginning to.
