I haven't found neither in help nor by searing here: is it possible to export a map from Map Panel? I'd like to export a high resolution version of map with tracks ans spots where I shot photos for a slide show. But I haven't found to way to "save" the map as e.g. JPEG.

Have I overseen this feature, or is the only way to "print screen"?

There was a recent feature request regarding JPG export of the map panel. Please take a look at:

This has also a potentially legal dimension. The maps are copyrighted and providing facilities to export them to image files may be illegal.

I don't know the legal details what developer might allow. At least from Google Earth Pro you could export High Res (more than 4k) resolution images. I'd like to streamline my workflow and use IMatch for showing the track and spots of my photos and be able to export an image - without doing a print screen and cropping the image manually and only getting a low resolution.

Google licenses the maps and if they allow export from their apps, that's one thing. People get sued all over the place for linking in live Google maps into their web sites,

Besides, Chromium has no feature I could use to produce a snap shot of a web site, especially not when a canvas element (graphics rendering) is involved (which is what all maps do). And when I do a simple copy of the window contents, I only get the browser, my toolbar etc. but not the map tiles. Looking at the requests for something like this made by other developers and the almost zero replies, I doubt that this will easy to do. Meaning: May not work in the end, suck up lots of my time.

Tip: Just use the Map panel in your external web browser and use whatever "screen shot" plug-in / add-on is available to export your IMatch maps.

Thanks for explanation. So it looks like I have to live with screen shots. Time to go to 4k screen to get higher resolution hard copys?  :o
