Running IM5 & IM2107 on same computer

Thanks - I assume that 2017 is loaded into a folder separate from IM5.  Do I copy the contents of the IMatch5 folder in Prgram Data, to an equivalent 2017 folder?

Yes. And no.

I have installed the trial version of 2107.  I cannot open the database, but get the attached warning.  I hold the database in the public documents folder, where it has always worked with IM5 and earlier versions and continues to work.  The folder properties are marked read only for some reason.  Cancelling that makes no difference.    How do I proceed?

I think the message is pretty clear. TRIAL versions of IMatch open databases older than 30 days in read-only mode only. And this means it cannot convert existing IMatch databases older than 30 days. The TRIAL version ís for new users trying out IMatch. Not for users who already have IMatch.

You can create a new database in IMatch 2017 and work with this database in fully writable mode for 30 days.
The LICENSED version of IMatch 2017 can of course open and convert your existing IMatch databases.
