Hi, users

as you might know, there are a number of tutorial videos for IMatch Anywhere available in the IMatch Anywhere Learning Center. All done by yours truly
Recently I have started to create tutorial videos for IMatch, available in the IMatch Learning Center. There are 9 videos already, explaining installation, database creation, file window basics, workspaces, panels etc. I will create more videos about categories, metadata panel, keyword panel, thesaurus etc. as time permits.

Now I need to bring these videos to the 'attention' of Google and YouTube, to improve the visibility of my channel and videos.
I need to generate s many video views as possible and also as many channel subscribers for my YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKmE3zCD77A

This improves the search engine ranking for photools.com and IMatch on YouTube and in Google. Which is really important these days.

So...

if you want to learn about IMatch Anywhere or IMatch, have a look at the videos. I'm not saying that you should look at all videos in full length or that you may just run them on 'sound off' in the background, mind.
Tell your friends.

Subscribe to my YouTube channel. I don't allow ads, but I need at least 100 subscribers to get a proper and readable channel name...

Very good, super idea.

I did cklick on the thumb up and clicked on "abonniert".
Is there more I can do? Sorry, I use YouTube not a lot and usually do not play a lot with social media.  8)

There is also a Like button per video. Don't think it would hurt ::)

No, that's already enough. The more followers my channel gets and the more people watch the videos, the more important my channel will be considered by Google, maybe upping the photools.com search engine ranking a notch.

Sorry, my mistake: Thumbs Up is the right button  :-[
Thumbs up is for liking a video (thanks) and subscribe / abbonieren is for subscribing a channel - I need 100 subscribers to get my own URL on YouTube  :-X ::)

I have no idea. Most likely it is per-user.

In a normal world I would just create and upload the videos for my users.
But these days you always have to think about things like "Likes", "Subscribers" and search engine rankings...

Many people don't know that what you see in search results when you search for something like DAM for Windows is controlled by ranking algorithms which take things like back links, ads, likes, subscribers on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, G+ and Facebook into account. Google even tells you how you have to structure your web site, how fast it has to load, how you have to compress your images etc. If you don't follow their rules, they will push you down in the search engine results!

And this clearly favors the big companies which can afford entire departments with SEO specialists (search engine optimization) and who write posts on web sites, FB, Instagram, Twitter, G+ and create and upload videos to YT with an eye on improve the search engine ranking. If you can produce enough content, probably change larger chunks every day, Google will put you higher in the search results. Small companies cannot pay for that and thus they show up low in the search engine results or not at all. And if you are not on page 1 or 2, you are invisible.

The timeline in FB works similar. What you see there is controlled by algorithms. When I post a news about IMatch on my FB page, I can never tell how many of the users who have liked the photools.com FB page will see it. Can be 100% or 5% - depending on what the Facebook algorithm thinks. Twitter works the same. This makes FB and Twitter very unreliable communication channels to tell users about important things. Your important post may never be seen.

Every bit of publicity helps.
