App request: A universal viewer app. (Quickview++)

Currently we have Quickview to look at images, text and html files, and videos.
We have apps for GIF and music files.
And we have the viewer which allows viewing images ( optimized for evaluating/sifting and adding categories and annotations).

How about a universal viewer which allows us to "display" all files. If the file can only be handled by a windows program then it
should (automatically or on demand) call the appropriate program.

Displaying annotations may be difficult/impossible.

Possible extensions:
Have buttons which allow calling (used defined) Renamer presets, batch presets, user provided apps with the displayed file.

What other information about the file that should be displayed alongside should probably be up to the user - although some things would be universal
- especially those not needing much window real estate: collections.

A more universal viewer which allows the user to conveniently add all the information he wants (metadata like description, categories/keywords, attributes) would only
be doable for large windows and would need to be highly customizable to suit each user.
