Blender thumbnails

I'd love to see Blender .blend files  thumbnails in iMAtch.   It's open source and is getting pretty popular as 3d modelling /animation soft in gamedev at least.   Blender shows thumbnails in its internal file browser  and  since it's open source I guess IMatch could borrow that part and show them too.

IMO any true DAM shouldn't be restricted to image/video formats only  but manage all those 3d assets  people use in  CG too.

I think Blender may install a standard Windows thumbnail handler. Do you see blender thumbs in Windows Explorer? If so they should also show up in IMatch.

Maybe check this out: https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/43316/restore-thumbnails-in-windows-file-explorer

No, I don't see Blender thumbnails in Windows explorer , only their emblem.

Then the thumbnail handler has not been installed or not properly. Did you apply the tricks mentioned in the post?
After doing that you need to do a forced refresh in IMatch to IMatch re-creates thumbnail and cache, now using the Blender thumbnail handler.

I tried the trick but it didn't work at all. I'v done it exactly as it said and nothing happened.  Not sure maybe it works in  w10 only,  looks like not in w8.1

Maybe ask the friendly Blender community?
If you think that there are more users who would require thumbnail support for Blender files, add a feature request in the feature request board here in the community.
