Referring to thread https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=7591.0 .  This bug seems to be to rectified in IM2017.3.  Is this correct?

I have some 7000 files affected and have the spurious excluded keyword in XMP:dc/subject.  I can display all these in the file window.  In my case the unwanted keyword is "Taxa".  Can this be removed from all files in one operation?  Possibly using the command processor or metadata template?

Mario

You can add/remove/replace any keyword from any number of files via the Keyword Panel...what exactly do you want to achieve?
The keyword panel also offers a command to propagate keywords again from hierarchical to flat keywords. E.g. when you have changes the thesaurus or keyword settings.

Thanks.
I cannot create/edit flat keywords in XMP/Subjects Keywords directly from the Keyword Panel.  I was not aware of the command to propagate keywords again.  I have tried it and it eliminates the spurious keyword, as it says on the tin.

Excellent.

That's what the command is for. If you change how you map hierarchical to flat keywords, you can use it to re-map everything or selected files. In this case, we can resolve the obscure issue caused by synonyms along partially excluded paths.
