Question about backupping

Hi all,

I planned to do backups using third party software and there backup different (not only the latest version) versions of db. Now I realized that in addition to the db file itself, there is also a SHM-file in the same folder. Should I have this SHM file copied always parallel with the db itself in order to have a complete backup of that particular situation?

While a database is open the database system may create temporary files, journaling files etc. in the database folder. Always backup the entire folder containing your database. And of course all IMatch settings etc.
