When the slide show runs it presents the picture windowed or full screen, basically showing the whole image.
I would like to see the image displayed as a crop which has previously been set and recorded in IMatch ready for slide show.

Have you considered using a dedicated slide show software, which allows you to do this, and also all sorts of blends, Ken Burns pans etc...?

Mario,
no I hadn't considered looking at dedicated software, but I will have a look around.
I just thought it would be a 'nice to have' feature in IMatch but have no idea how complicated it would be to implement.

many thanks

Quotehow complicated it would be to implement.

It would at least require IMatch to introduce the concept of a "slide show" which contains a specific set of files and "options" for each file. One of the options would be the crop you define. Of course we would need a way to store this, and to recall it later. Maybe even different shows with different sets of files. And we would need some sort of editor where you can define the crop for a specific file, maybe reorder files....

Or, in a minimal version, I would need to add a cropping feature to the Viewer and then store that in the database. Or in the XMP crop record?...

IMatch supports XMP crop records. If you use Ps or Lr or another software which does that too, you can define a soft crop in another software and make IMatch use it.

Maybe this could be an alternative?
