Adding Destination Coordinates

I've started testing destination coordinates. If I select more than one image with the same origin coordinates, they both show in the map window with an icon showing the number of images at that location. If I right-click that icon I get a popup that displays information about the files (including right and left arrows to get to each file) and various options to apply, including 'Add image direction...'. So far, so good.

However, if I choose to add image direction, it appears that I can only do this for one image at a time that that particular location. Is this the intended behavior? There doesn't seem to be a way to apply image direction to multiple files at once. This seems especially odd when there are two images, one a RAW original and the other a JPG derivative, which obviously have the exact same origin coordinates and destination coordinates.

I see that if I use the arrow key to move to the next image, I can add a destination point for that image also. But I still have to assign the destination coordinates one at a time.

If this is currently intended behavior I'll add a feature request to enable assigning destination coordinates (and do other actions allowed in the popup box). It would also be convenient to be able to assign the same destination coordinates to several images at a time (e.g., where one is moving around but photographing the same location such as a building or natural feature). I know this may sound like the proverbial slippery slope of feature additions, but it would be convenient.

The map folds nearby images together into "cluisters". That's the numbers you see.

Yes. There is no feature to add destination coordinates to clustered images or to multiple images at once.

Actually, it appears that there is! If I assign destination coordinates to one image of a set selected in the File Window, then right-click on the destination icon, I get a dialog box asking if I want to apply this direction marker to all selected files. Very useful, although not immediately obvious; it doesn't appear to be discussed in the IM Help topic for the Map Panel.

But that would be very logical and useful. If I have any number of images of the same subject, it's clear that I want to assign the same destination coordinates to all of them in one go.

You can assign destination coordinates to any number of files via the context menu of the destination marker. No problem.
