Short bio
Trojan.Malpack is Malwarebytes' generic detection name for Trojans that use custom packers to obfuscate their code. This concerns packers that are normally not in use for legitimate purposes. So the detection is purely based on the way the file is packed—the payload could be anything.

All software distributed by me is protected against modification by my personal digital Authenticode certificate. You can check the certificate in Windows Explorer (right-click the file and then Properties > Security). Windows will warn you when the certificate is not valid and Windows installer will not install software with an invalid certificate.
