How to find metadata discrepancies between RAW and JPG versions

Basically I take pictures in RAW (in my case: CR2). After some culling I process the selected files into jpg (using PS CC). These jpgs will be versions of the original CR2 files automatically by applying my rules for filerelations. It is easy to propagate metadata from the master downwards to the versions.

But sometimes, I'll assign the jpg's to a different rating (or category or ...) than the original RAW file.

My questions:

  • Is there a simple method to find files where the metadata/categories/keywords in the version differ from the metadata in the masterfile (and vice versa)?
  • And consequently: how to propagate the metadata of the version upwards to the master?
