"Show files with hierarchy" bug?

My image attachment shows the IMatch workspace in Categories view, with the "Show files with hierarchy" toggled off.  As you can see, even though I've chosen not to display the hierarchy, IMatch is still showing a node for the category in which I have selected in the navigation tree.  This is no big deal, but as far as I can remember, the only time nodes have been displayed are when the button is highlighted in yellow and "on".  Anyway to fix this behavior?

This behavior is by design. The "Show hierarchy" affects child elements (categories, folders, ...) only.

I know, the "show hierarchy" is supposed to put the "child elements" in their own group(s), under a node that can be expanded to show their contents, unless of course, for instance, if in "Media & Folders" view, one has the option "Don't group by folder" activated, in which case, all these "child elements" are added to the same group.  What I meant was that I thought that when the "show hierarchy" is not in effect, then their are no nodes displayed at all!  (not even the top-level node, corresponding to what is selected in the tree)

Mario

As I said, this behavior is by design. It is required for technical reasons.
