Title: Filter for time range possible?
Post by: ben on April 04, 2020, 06:39:44 PM
Hello,

does someone know if it's possible to filter for a specific time range?
For examples pictures taken between 7am and 5pm.

Thanks for any help
Ben

There is no dedicated filter for this. Filtering by time is much less often needed than filtering by date.

I would recommend to create a data-driven category which groups files by hour (or maybe by hour and minute, depending on your requirements).
Then you can use this category to filter by hour (and minute).

Set it up as follows:

The "Use part of value" grabs the two digits for the hour in the YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS format.
If you also need minutes, change this to 12,5

Tip: If you don't need this option, set it to manual update. Or delete it when no longer needed.

Data-driven categories can be used to organize files (or to create 'filters') for rarely used tags.

Remember to set them to manual update (Automatic Update: Off) if you don't need them often.
Else IMatch has to keep them up-to-date with every change to the database. Which may slow it down, especially if your database is huge.
