I'm using "x" to reject files in the file viewer (why? force of habit I suppose). When I do this I get a circle with red outline and bar through it.
While in file viewer how do I "unreject" a file if I have used "x", the "del" does not work in the fileviewer? Currently I need to come out of file viewer and hit "del" to "unreject".
If while in the file viewer I try to use del to unreject I get a big red X through the file and if I hit "del" gain I get back to circle with red outline.
The manual discusses using del to reject a file in the file viewer, and "del" again to "unreject"; if I use these then this works fine. :)
What is the issue with using "X" to reject, and then "X" again to unreject while in the file viewer?
Perhaps using "X" option to reject should be removed as an option?
Aubrey.
Pressing <Del> in the Viewer by default does not reject the file. It marks the file for the Delete action.
<Del> does not set the rating of the image. <X> sets the reject rating.
See The Delete Action (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#viewer.htm?dl=h-44) and also see the Viewer options under Edit > Preferences > Application.

Application.
If I set the reject rating, is there a way to unset it within the viewer window?

The Delete Action[/url] and also see the Viewer options under Edit > Preferences > Application.
Delete action is already set to "reject" under Preferences > Application.

Under Viewer modes, documentation says that the viewer can be closed using: <ESC>, F12 and X
When I use "X" it simply rejects a focused image. F12 and <ESC> work OK.
It's a rating, so you can just use 0 to reset the rating. Part of context menu 8)
:D
Fantastic -
I didn't realize it was defined as a rating.
Thanks.
Aubrey.
