Title: Copy/paste in category search
Post by: DigPeter on July 22, 2021, 03:49:01 PM
I sometimes want to paste a term into the category search.  For instance I see "Bistorta amplexicaulis" in another app and want to look for it IM.  I copy the term from the other app and try unsuccessfully to paste it into the search box of IM's category filter.  Is this intended behaviour or a bug?

The keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-V) does not work, apparently. But you can use right-click > Paste in the context menu.

Thank you Thrinn - yes, I use ctrl+v.  Must change this habit!

You use a category search where? Category View? Category Panel?

In the Filter Manager. For the Categories filter, there is a search bar at the bottom. Ctrl-V does not work, but the context menu Paste does.

Each of these menu commands must be explicitly implemented by IMatch (aka me).
I probably did not bother to implement these clipboard shortcuts for this input field. Or, since this toolbar is created by the 3rd party UI toolkit, they did not bother. Not sure.
