IMatch always starts with the last active filter.
If you restart IM after a longer break, you may overlook the active filters and therefore not get what you expect.
It would be very helpful to leave it up to the user to decide whether IM is started with or without an active filter.
Is it not possible to configure this behavior in the preferences?
If a filter is active, the Filter Panel does NOT show the "No filter is active" and, even more visual, the File Window caption bar is NOT blue, but uses the normal grayish color.
I think when you remind yourself to check these visual clues, you should be fine.
