The drop-down list for selecting different layouts stopped working, it is stuck at a particular layout.
Clicking the selector symbol turns it yellow but nothing else happens.
I have not used this feature for a long time so I am not sure when this problem started.
Running IMatch 2021.8.10 on Win 10 Version 21H1
Never heard about that. Please provide a minimum of info, like a screen shot and the IMatch log file in debug mode (Help menu > Support > Debug logging) of an IMatch session were you encountered this problem.
Screenshot of Metadata Panel and Debug Log attached.
No errors in the log file.
Two warnings about a) you not having enabled a spell checker dictionary and b) some invalid IPTC metadata in one of your files.
I have no idea why this list could become disabled. There is nothing in IMatch which would disable the metadata panel layouts drop-down list. What did you do before this happened?
I does not look disabled in your screen shot?
Maybe close IMatch and reboot your PC?
While trying to move the Metadata Panel from my second monitor to the main monitor I succeeded in somehow losing the panel completely.
It is not visible anywhere, selecting View -> Panels -> Metadata does not change anything.
I remember having had problems moving panels in my dual-monitor setup before, doing some research right now...
I closed IMatch and restarted my PC - no change.
The drop-down list indeed does not look disabled but clicking on the select icon just changes its color.
Solved problem of missing metadata panel by switching to another workspace.
Different layout now but still cannot be changed since drop-down list is inactive.
Panel movement problem between monitors solved based on workaround found in

Unfortunately even the log file in debug mode does not show anything related to these low-level UI activities like opening drop-down lists.
No idea. This was never reported and there is nothing in the IMatch code which would disable this control.
Close IMatch.
Hold down <Ctrl> and start it again.
In the Advanced Startup options choose "Reset Workspace" to reset the default workspace to default settings.
That solved it. Thanks!
Strange. Maybe something in the workspace got messed up somehow.
The 3rd party user interface toolkit I use for IMatch has many, eh, issues.
One of the reasons why I rely more and more on modern web technologies for new big features - because they usually work better and are standardized.
