Title: IMATCH Substainability
Post by: Josebr on November 12, 2021, 07:56:05 PM
Correct me if I am wrong but IMATCH is just Mario? If something, God Forbid, happened to Mario, what would become of Photools and IMATCH? One person enterprises make me nervous. I have seen some go under when the person can no longer work the enterprise.  I  don't want to put in hundereds of hour categorizing almost 3,00,000 photos and have no support down the line. So, please tell me that there is team of people behind Mario and that the team is ready and able to take over if God Forbid they needed too.

This has been discussed many times before... and as before - don't worry and just enjoy Imatch!

Here is a response by Mario all the way back in 2014 (that's 7 years of usability and many many new version of IMatch!)

Nothing has changed since the What happens if Mario gets hit by a bus? (https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=3450) post.

IMatch has been designed to be an open system and never lock you in.
The metadata produced by IMatch is of highest quality and compatible with the widest ranges of applications.
Even IMatch-only data like categories or Attributes can be exported in many formats.
If you don't like IMatch anymore or support stops, you can easily switch to any other DAM or related software available.

Mario,
I did not report a crash in my post. I think you inadvertently responded to another post on my post, LOL.  No problem. As always, thanks for getting back to me
