Title: Merging People
Post by: jch2103 on January 02, 2022, 10:22:15 PM
Due to operator error, I've created two 'People' for the same real person. I checked the Help for merging people:

Merging People
This command allows you to merge the faces linked to two or more persons. Typical use cases are:

After running the People Organizer you find that multiple persons have been created for the same physical person
Importing face regions from XMP produces one person produces multiple persons for the same person (because of the labels assigned to these faces in XMP)
You want to merge persons creating during migration of old-style IMatch face annotations into the IMatch 2020 format
To merge people, select them in the People View. The last selected person becomes the focused person (red background) and this is the target person into which the other selected persons (source persons) will be merged. After the merge has been completed, the source persons are no longer linked to any faces.

Now select the Merge People command from the additional functions menu. IMatch displays a dialog with some options to control how merge is performed.

However, I don't see a Merge People in the Additional Functions menu (see screenshot). Either I'm clicking in the wrong place or the Help isn't complete or it's an additional user error.

1. Merge People is buggy (fixed for next release). See https://www.photools.com/release-notes/,  #01618. So wait.
2. You need to select two persons to make this command appear.
