Title: Filtering on empty tags
Post by: rienvanham on January 11, 2022, 03:40:55 PM
Hi Mario,

Perhaps a stupid question (I think I will say: Oh no! So simple): How can I filter all my documents with (e.g) city = [EMPTY]. I can filter on values but I couldn't find how to do it for empty values.

Thanks in advance,

Rien.

Use a Value Filter (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#panel_filter.htm?dl=h-56) set to the tag you are interested in.
Enable the option has value and invert.

There is a corresponding entry in the The 'Did You Know?'' App (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#app-dyk.htm) app (always very helpful):

Dashboard

If this is a commonly used tag, you can also add it to the Quality Panel (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#dashboard.htm?dl=h-33) in the IMatch Dashboard (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#dashboard.htm) to keep an eye on things. Very useful!

It's always easy when you know how.
Problem is, there is a lot of IMatch and only so much memory.

Even I have to refer to the help often to recall a certain feature, option or command. Sometimes you don't use something for several months, and then just forget about it again. Normal.

That's very kind of you Mario!

You could also respond with: you lazy guy, RTFM  :)

Thanks again and cheers from the Netherlands.
