Title: Sort profile for number of versions
Post by: frankdarwin on January 12, 2022, 09:07:12 PM
Hello,
is it possible to create a sort profile to sort the files in the file window by the number of existing versions of a file?

No. You can only create sort profile by what is available in the Sort Profiles dialog.

Are you still working on your problem with the versions? Why does creating the right version rules and running a refresh relations on all folders not solve this?
This is usually the way. If your new rules also produce "too many" versions, you need to fix the rule.

If you really, really, need this, use the {File.Versions|count:true} variable and the Attribute Importer app to import the version count into an Attribute.
Then create a Sort Profile for that Attribute.

I followed your suggestion and created a new attribute and then a sort profile.

This works the way I imagined.
Thanks!

By the way: is there a detailed description of the Attribute Importer? I have not found anything.

I don't think a separate documentation for this simple app is needed.
