I have screwed something up. checking "Hide Rejected Files" is showing ONLY rejected files. This happens even without a search - just selecting the folder causes this to happen.
If I clear "Hide Rejected Files", then it shows all files - rejected and not rejected. This was working OK earlier today. It seems like it got messed up after I used the "Advanced Search" and used "NOT" in one of my searches. I can't prove this is the cause; I only suspect it could be related. I cleared that search item and changed it back to "Frequently Used Tags".
Sounds like you have the filter inverted option enabled.
In both the file window search bar and the filter panel there is an option to invert the filter results.
Thanks, John. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the problem. I've attached a screen capture to this reply.
Look at the Filter Panel toolbar. The funnel icon is highlighted in orange, which means that you have the results of the filter inverted.
Click the icon to switch the Filter Panel to normal operation. See The Toolbar (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#panel_filter.htm?dl=h-5)
