I have a read-only file in IMatch (IM File Window.jpg).
Now I noticed that the both the date and the file name can be changed even though the file is read-only (IM File Window after change date and name.jpg).
I want to write-protect certain files to prevent accidental changes.
I also see the write protection in Windows Explorer.
What is the reason for this?
This button toggles the read-only state of the file in the file system.
It does not prevent from renaming the file (same as in Windows Explorer) and it does not prevent you from changing the date or other metadata.
