Title: Button in File Viewer to toggle all stacks.
Post by: codebreaker on May 20, 2022, 05:54:25 PM
I use stacks to manage bracketed pictures and I often want to collapse all stacks in the current scope (version and normal stacks) to clear up the file window.

Unfortunately there's no dedicated button to toggle all stacks, i can only show/hide already stacked files.
I know i can use Ctrl + A, T (for Version Stacks) and Ctrl + A, Ctrl + left/right (for normal stacks), but i think another Button would make it easier and fit well with the "Show/Hide stacked files" button.

Thanks :D

PS: Why are version and normal stacks distinguished from each other?

Version stacks are automatic and dynamic. Normal stacks are made by users. Both serve slightly different purposes.
The Ctrl+A collapse method works just fine I believe.
Note that you usually can keep stacks closed and just let the File Window show them expanded when needed (toolbar button).

I also recommend to separate questions about features from feature requests in the future.
Mixing answers to questions with comments about the feature request may confuse things.
