For whatever reason, it seems like somehow my File Window Tip has been discarded (overwritten by defaults) when I created a new database a couple days ago >:(
From this post several yrs. back on this forum (https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=4402.msg29495#msg29495), "You can just restore your last working imatch5.pts to get all settings back." Is there anyway to restore, from that file, just the File Window Tip, and not the other settings that go along with it as part of the database?
I have created many new database over the past week. No File Window Tips were lost or changed. No other user ever reported a similar issue.
Sounds like something obscure has happened. Very strange.

Not without special tools and know-how.
1. Close IMatch.
2. Make a copy of the settings database (The IMatch Settings Database (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/settings_db.htm))
3. Restore your old settings database (must be from SAME IMatch version)
4. Start IMatch.
5. Edit > Preferences > FW Tip
6. Save to file.
7. Close IMatch
8. Restore original settings database
9. Start IMatch
10. Edit > Preferences > FW Tip
11. Reload from file saved in step 6.
