Title: Problem with reverse geocoding
Post by: frankdarwin on October 30, 2022, 10:56:27 PM
Hello,
I am using reverse geocoding to fill in the locations (City, Location, etc.) in the metadata.
I noticed that for files with the same GPS data, the country in the metadata is displayed once in German and another time in English (country "Deutschland" or country "Germany").

The files in which the country is displayed in English are MP4 files.

What is the reason for this and how can I ensure that the German names are always used?

You are using which geocoding service with which language settings (Edit > Preferences > Geo & Maps).
Do you have coded both files at the same time?

You use the "fill only fields" option so IMatch will not overwrite an existing country code / country with the data delivered by the service. When one of your file already had a country but the other did not, this would explain the difference.
