Is it possible to colour code Image Batch Processor presets in the "presets" view, or maybe to organize them in sub folders there?
Using favourites is useful, but does not give the opportunity to modify or preview results before running a preset.
Exporting and importing in the management tab lets you put the presets in sub directories, but when retrieved you can end up with several presets in the view with the same name, and no obvious to me way of distinguishing between them.
I have many presets for the batch image processor now and a little organization would help me, ideally without having to use arbitrary file names to sort them or to identify the ones I use for particular needs :)
Any suggestions for ways to organize image batch processor presets?
Thank you
There is no color-coding for Batch Processor presets. According to telemetry, most users use less than 5 presets so there is no real need for visual indicators or grouping or similar...
QuoteUsing favourites is useful, but does not give the opportunity to modify or preview results before running a preset.
Batch Processor Favorites currently have only the
primary action (running the BP with that preset for the current selection of files). Maybe I could add a secondary action which opens the BP so users can run a preview or review/modify the preset before running it?
I went ahead and implemented this.
Right-clicking a BP Favorite now shows the additional "Open Batch Processor..." command.
Selecting this command opens the BP with the preset of that Favorite.
<Shift>+<Click> does the same.
That's great, thank you! :)
Also, often the edit made is to create a new variant to keep in addition to the original preset, not just a replace/discard choice.
Could another choice be: "keep variant", adding "-1", "-2" etc. to the preset name?
Just use the functionality that already exists:

Great change for me too - Thank you.
