Having read the Locations Help topic I'm setting up Locations for areas I visit frequently.
Just one small question, when I create a new location I get a dialogue similar to attached. The country defaults to United Kingdom but the time zone defaults to Abu Dhabi, the first time zone in the drop down. Even when I do a lookup on the address it stills shows Abu Dhabi.
I'm wondering whether what are the implications of choosing or ignoring times zone when editing a location. Is this something I can safely ignore?
Can't you select the time zone for the country and location you use?
The dialog just lists all available time-zones, it has no idea which time-zone belongs to the place you create the location for. UK would be UTC+00:00 I believe.
I don't recall the time-zone offsets of locations being used anywhere yet, but best to set it correctly.

Yes but I had to scroll up and down to find it. Expecting to find London but sorted under G for Greenwich Meantime

Thanks for the clarification, sounds like a field I can safely ignore without any adverse implications.

I've noticed that rather unhelpful sort order myself and fixed it for IMatch 2023.
