Title: Tool Tip Removal
Post by: Josebr on April 09, 2023, 12:59:16 PM
The right most column shows Tips each time I open Imatch. Which means I have to click on the X to get rid of it so as so have more room for my categories. Is there a way to not have it show up at all?

I don't understand. What right most column? Where?
Maybe add a screen shot so we can see what you see?
Do you mean the Did You Know?'' App (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/app-dyk.htm)?

Here is the screen shot you requested. I am talking about the "Did You Know" on the upper right hand side of this photo. How do I disable that? Clicking the X to remove that box every time I open Imatch gets tedious. How do I prevent that from showing up?

Edit > Preferences > Show Did you Know? information.

I recommend to keep it open, though. The DYK contains know-how and tons of tips that will allow you to use IMatch more efficiently. And I add more tips and tutorials to this app with every release.

Thanks Mario. I found it Edit > Preferences > Application > Show Did You Know? It took me time to find it. Which is the whole purpose of getting rid of it. To safe me time and get me quickly to work on my photos. I did set it to not show.

I am a casual user of your great program. I am not trying to know every feature of it. It's has too many features for what I need. Hence I just use what I need and get rid of parts I don't need. Thanks Again.

Whatever works best for you.

But I designed DYK especially for casual users, so they can learn about features they don't know about or have never used.
Power users who use IMatch daily know about them, most of the time.

Maybe make it a habit to open the DYK panel occasionally to learn a few new things about IMatch.
Many users found ways to work quicker and more efficient using the tips & tricks provided by the 'Did You Know?' app.
