With the most recent update for IM 2023, I started the Updater as usual; it successfully downloaded the update, but pressing the Install button didn't do anything (both on my desktop and my laptop). Fortunately, the Updater provides the file link for the installer program so I was able to execute from Windows Explorer.
I haven't had a prior problem with the Updater app.
This issue has been resolved for IMatch 2023.1.6.
It was caused by a wrong ! in a check for Windows shutting down (which IMatch does to prevent running the installer when Windows is shutting down or going to sleep/hibernate).
