Title: Smart Menu in help missing - and how I found out about it.
Post by: ubacher on June 29, 2023, 09:49:37 AM
When reading the release notes I made myself a note "smart menu" (to check it out later)

Today I saw my note and I wanted to see what it is all about.

I checked Commands - nothing there.
I used the Command Palette and typed smart - nothing found.

Then I opened help and searched for smart - no result!

I then search the forum for smart menu - and it was this way I found out that it runs inside the viewer.

I shall add a smart keyword that points at the Viewer help. It seems smart is marked as a stop word (don't index) for the full-text index used by the IMatch help system.

Another possibility: Use the search functionality for the release notes. When I type in smart menu there, I get the expected results.

And when you enter the Viewer for the first time you'll see this:

and the Smart Menu will be opened automatically.
