Title: What's your favorite CLRR?
Post by: Mario on July 06, 2023, 08:08:32 PM
Since IMatch 2023 came out, I've used AI-generated CLRR (cute little red robot) images as eye catchers for the release note announcements I post on the photools.com Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/photools), the photools.com Twitter (https://twitter.com/photools_com), the photools.com blog (https://www.photools.com/blog/) and here in the Announcement board. Maybe, I'm one of these robots. Who knows on the Internet...?

What's your favorite robot? The best overview is probably on the the photools.com blog (https://www.photools.com/blog/).
Do you like the bots at all?

What about the IMatch 2023 splash screens? Do you like them?

I really like the color scheme of the slashscreens, so I did not realised the robot. :)

For me the nicest robot is the first one on top of the blog.
Cute.

Hmmm, btw, I am not sure, if I have ever  looked at the blog.  ???

The blog is just another way to make Google happy.

Most web sites these days are not designed or written for people, but for the Google bot.
This is why so many web sites these days look similar.
Or why a web site which explains how to bake Chiabatta bread starts with a history of baking since the 18th century and an endless drivel of filler text until you actually reach the 10 line recipe on page 14. All that is to make the page look important for the Google bot. It's not so much about content these days, it's about SEO (search engine optimization).

Like the CLRR on top and the splashscreen makes the difference. ;)

I like the CLRRs also.

I wondered if the one at the top of the 2023.1.16 Release announcement, on the Announcements Board, might represent Mario working on all those releases...

While I find the bots a nice touch, the images are not visible if a user isn't logged in - see attachment:

Yes. Guests operate with a read-only profile, which prevents access to certain boards and viewing attachments.
