Title: Cahnge page orientation in Design & Print
Post by: Mees Dekker on July 08, 2023, 08:12:19 AM
I wonder whether there is an easy way to change the page orientation and/or page size of an existing D&P template.

No, sorry.
The document orientation and page dimensions are set once, when you create the document.
These properties cannot be changed later.

It depends, how complex your template is.

If it it an easy one, you could try to change the lines in the imptx.
I have created a very easy template, A4 and portrait.

Saved, closed.

Opened the imptx with a text editor (in my case Visual Studio), and changed two lines under page-size:

and a line below changed portrait to landscape

Saved, opend the template again inside IMatch and voila, A5 and landscape.
Of course, it depends really, if your template is complex or not.

But if you try, simply do store the orignal imptx, only to be on the safe side.

Editing the template directly is a possibility. But it will of course invalidate properties like borders and things, and as you said, for a complex template, it will probably take longer to fix all measures again as it would take to create it from scratch.
