To be clear, I am not asking for any new features. I am just double-checking to make sure I haven't missed anything.
When it comes to color-coding folders, it appears that there are only two means to do this:
- Manually, using the "Properties" tab in the "Media & Folders" view, when one or more folders are selected.
- Automatically, whenever a folder is newly indexed or updated, as described in the online help, here (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/rmh_config_indexing.htm#:~:text=disable%20this%20option.-,Color-coding%20folders,-You%20can%20optionally).
Are there any other automatic or script-based means to modify these properties, that I haven't found?

No.
You can add/remove/copy/move/rename/delete folders from IMatch apps.
You can retrieve color-coding information from apps, but you cannot change color-coding for apps (or categories) from apps.
What is the use case?
