I'm not sure what I did but I just built a new PC and used Pack and Go to move from the old WIN 10 to the new PC (Win 11). I just noticed that my drop downs on the Metadata panel are all different. Is there something I failed to do? I did export my Layouts in my Media and folders. Was I supposed to export other layouts from the panels? Maybe it's a setting I have turned off.
I have attached a screen capture showing the dropdowns on the before (windows 10) and the after (Windows 11).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Different user name on the new computer?
Mario:
Yes. Do I need to create the same username on the new computer? If so, do I have to start over and run Pack and Go again? I noticed that in the Photools/imatch6/Presets directory on the new computer I have one extra file in this directory called IMATCHLayouts.imfwl. This does not reside in the older Windows 10 photools (same directory).

Many IMatch settings are per-user and linked to a user name.
Edit > Preferences > Application.
Search for Alias.
Enter the user name you used on your old PC.
See User Name Alias (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/rmh_config_appsettings.htm?dl=alias)
Mario:
Thanks Mario!!!! Got them all back. That Alias change does not affect the ID Plate, is that right? I had my name on the upper left of the Screen (I added it under ID PLate, Left Panel, Filename (it was a .png). I thought that would be copied over also under Pack and Go. I see that it is located at C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMATCH5\resources\bitmaps\LinkPhotography1.png. I'm not sure why it is pulling it from this directory.
Is there any other things that I need to manually go and copy so I have identical IMATCH on both computers? The reason I ask is that at some point I will just start using the new one once I verify I have identical systems. I'm worried I will miss something in the move.

PS: I have been using Acronis to backup (may go to Macrium). I don't think after the pack and Go I am supposed to restore my C:\ProgramData\phottools\Imatch6 correct???
QuoteI am supposed to restore my C:\ProgramData\phottools\Imatch6 correct???
No. When you install IMatch, it creates this folder hierarchy and contents.
The volatile data like the settings database should not be overwritten by an old backup. You have already restored it with Pack & Go and made changes to the settings database by running IMatch, entering an alias etc. Why would you want to wipe all this by restoring a backup?
The ID plate is user-specific. Maybe it has reset since the old user name was not present on your new system? Not sure.
Mario:
Thank you very much. All is working!!!
