Hello,
I read, that there is new handling of metadata-xmps, but I thought, it must be activated.
I open my old database with IMatch 5 .126 and rated a few jpg-files. After this, IMatch create sidecar-xmps (which I don't in files, which can store the xmp-data inside the files).
Preference: I use "Metadata Working Group Konformität: "Ja"
Dateiformate konfigurien are grey out, so I can't change anything.
What make I wrong?
Did you read the Release notes for build 126?
Especially the part about "Favor XMP workflow".

I do not have this problem. My Preferences are set as in the attached.

I can't change the metadata-Options and it looks all the same with all formats:

This is from an older IMatch version.
Can you please download and install the current build and retry?
I just checked, and the current build does not create XMP for JPEG files unless you explicitly force it to.
Ok. I get the problem. My Windows crash yesterday and have to install back from I older restore-file. I guessed it was after I installed 126, but it must be earlier.
Thank you all for your help. I reinstall IMatch, now.
Unfortunately, this didn't help. There are still XMP-Sidecars created instead of write it inside (no write protection).
My Metadata Options looks different from DigPeter even after load "Standardwerte".
With Photomechanic the rates are written inside the files.

You have selected JBG (whatever that is). I have selected JPG. Each file format has its own set of options.
Sorry, my fault. But even JPG looks like all other.

Looks like one for Mario! Perhaps you could re-install v126?
Very strange. Most of the JPG options are missing.
You mentioned that you restored something. Maybe you created a mix of different versions or something.
I suggest you un-install IMatch, delete the IMatch program folder and the
C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5
reboot, and then re-install the current 5.0.126 build. The JPEG options should then look like this:

Removing programData and other folders help finally. Thank you, Mario!
