Title: Setting Read-Only On or Off - Command Palette and Keyboard Shortcuts
Post by: PandDLong on April 15, 2024, 04:39:58 AM

Toggle Read-Only using the Command Palette and keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-R) work.

Setting Read Only to ON with the Command Palette has no visible impact and the Keyboard shortcut suggested by the Palette is 'R' - which toggles the red pin.

Setting Read Only to OFF with the Command Palette has no visible impact nor does the keyboard shortcut suggested by the Palette (Shift-R).

I found the Toggle Read-Only command in the menu but I could not find a command to Set the Read-Only status to on or off.

As context, I was looking to be able to include the command in a favorite.

You can set the read-only state by clicking the red shield icon in the File Window. Or in Windows Explorer.
Since there are only two states, a toggle command is sufficient. The menu is already very full.

Thanks for the info about the Command Palette issue.
The two commands you mention are for internal use and not suited for the Command Palette. I have removed them for the next release.
