Title: Back to the last selected photo
Post by: frankdarwin on June 14, 2024, 08:56:11 PM
Hello,
I display all photos of 1 person. That is several thousand. I look at these photos one by one in detail to assign certain photos to a category. As this takes a long time, I stop IM in between to continue later.

How can I get the last selected photo to be displayed again after restarting IM so that I can continue with the next ones?

The photos are sorted in ascending order by creation date.

I am using IM 2023.3.6

Frank

I would use a bookmark

Bookmark the image you want to return to by pressing B when it is selected

Return to that image by pressing Ctrl-Shift-B to go to the first bookmarked image

Unbookmark it by pressing B again

IMatch remembers the focused file in the File Window (for each View) when you close it and re-focuses the file when you start IMatch again.

I've just tried this (in the Media & Folders View and the People View) and it works. The last focused file is focused again when I close and restart IMatch. When you use the Viewer and you close it, it focuses the last viewed file by default. And IMatch remembers that and re-focuses the file again when you start IMatch the next time.

It is not clear to me from your description what exactly you do that makes IMatch not restore the last focused file?
