Title: All directories marked as offline
Post by: frankdarwin on October 02, 2024, 10:18:06 PM
Hello,
I am using a VM to test certain functions.
Before the tests, I copy the "L" drive from my productive system to the VM test system (database and photos).
The folder structure is identical in both systems.

After starting IM in the VM system, I get the message "Offline Folders Found" every time.

The "Relocate" function solves the problem very quickly, but the question for me is why this message appears even though the folder structure is the same in both systems.

I mean, IMatch uses Serial number from your drive with pictures.
You can solve this with portability settings - Help system (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/rmh_config_database.htm?dl=hid-9)

IMatch uses the media serial number which will be different in your VM of course.
See Off-line Folders and Files (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/offline-files.htm?dl=hid-1) for background and the Portability Options (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/rmh_config_database.htm?dl=hid-8) RobiWan mentioned.
