Hello community,
I would like to rename files with the Renamer, for this the value of {File.MD.Nikon::Main\55\MechanicalShutterCount\0} should be increased by 540. So the value 4651 should become 5191.
2025-03-04_13-42-28_DSC_4615.NEF --> 2025-03-04_13-42-28_DSC_5191.NEF
Unfortunately, I haven't found anything in the documentation, or I've been looking in the wrong place.
Does anyone have an idea how I can implement this
I think, with the math-variables,
like
{File.MD.Nikon::Main\55\MechanicalShutterCount\0|math:add,540}
But please check the variables, if it is correct, and there search math. Nice possibilites.
Hello Markus,
you are my hero, thank you very much, that was what I was looking for.
Regards Christopher
I have troubled the search, have found, unfortunately, nothing, perhaps, I have looked for the wrong concept.
Excuse for my English
See math:Op, Value {,Decimals} (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/var_basics.htm?dl=h-246)

Cool, Christopher, that it helped you.Personally, I find variables really very helpful. I do not more know, when Mario added the math-possibilites to the variables, hmm, maybe 4-5 years ago? Maybe longer, but "die Zeit fliegt manchmal nur so".

It's the usual thing. When you have never used something or not for a long time, it's hard to find what you are looking for.
I've thrown the problem at a local AI I'm running,
feeding it the Variables help topic for
RAG. This is what it produced:

My prompt was:
IMatch can do math with variables. How to add 540 to the result of a variable? I think AI will be a
big help with questions like this. I already use AI regularly to do boring stuff.
Wow, very impressive.
That is really cool.
Yep, I agree, AI will be a lot of help.
(last year the AI (even from Bild-hey :-[ ) created for me a phyton-script with instructions, how to use, for Blender ... and it worked.
