Title: Ver 3 rename masks ?
Post by: heicron on February 16, 2014, 07:01:56 PM
Hello again,

Is it possible to import all the rename masks I have created over the years into a ver. 5 database?
I tried to convert a test ver 3 DB with the ver.5 converter but no rename masks were carried over.

Thanks,

Joe

No, sorry. The Renamer in IMatch 5 uses a much advanced concept.
I'm sure you will find it much more versatile than the IMatch 3 renamer.

Did you try out the Renamer in IMatch 5 yet? Make sure you read the corresponding help first (just press <F1> while the Renamer dialog is open).

Mario,

I have a large number of rename masks so it will take some time to duplicate them. I'm not a fast typist so I will try to cut and paste as much as I can.

I do like the new renamer. I tried that on my first DB test.
I just finished running a convert DB on a copy of my old DB. When I opened the new DB the structure was there but the images did not appear in the thumbnails. When I opened the viewer the images appeared as expected.
What happened?

Thanks,

Joe

QuoteWhen I opened the new DB the structure was there but the images did not appear in the thumbnails.

This is know problem which has already bee reported several times and fixed for the next build.

It is helpful for Beta Testers to keep an eye on the bug report board, and on the solved bug report board. This way you can see if a problem was already reported and add to the existing report, or you don't waste time chasing bugs already reported.
