I did import a few images...
To get rid of the pencil I wanted to sync the data.
After pressing the pencil I get a error message (for some of my psd files); the output panel says:

Does this mean the file is corrupt?
I can still open the file in Photoshop.

IFD0 refers to Exif Data. Apparently ExifTool found some invalid or damaged data there and refused to update the data.
1. Make a backup copy of the PSD file.
2. Open it in PS and re-save.
3. Try again.
If this helps, please make the original PSD file available for download somewhere. Phil Harvey form ExifTool may be interested in it.

But ExifTool is usually very precise, and when it reports a damaged data block in the file, this will be the case. That PS can load the file does not mean anything, because it is not as throughout as ExifTool - IMatch tries to pull as much info from files as possible. PS sometimes is extremely picky when it comes to metadata, and sometimes it just ignores stuff. Adobe does not document anything in this area so it's usually "depends on the PS version you are using, and the moon"...
Theres definitely something fishy with the EXIF data in the PSD file.
On reading, ExifTool skips the entry 14 in the EXIF IFD, and on writing it rejects the file because the data is damaged or in an unknown format. May be a one time only glitch in the camera firmware or PS. If it does not happen again, forget it. If it happens again, check the original file first (by adding it to IMatch). If the original file is OK, do the same processing as before and then check the resulting PSD.

I believe all the problematic files are touched by Lightroom and PhotoSupreme - Both are not beta!

I don't know anything about PhotoSupreme, but I recently read a post from the LR developer group (?) that they have fixed several hundred bugs for one release of LR or another. I'm sure this includes all minor UI tweaks as well, but Beta or not, no software is free of bugs. Not even if you have a large team of developers, plus marketing and back-office and management staff you can produce software that is bug free.
It's important how many users are affected by a bug and how fast it is fixed. I don't plan to ship IMatch updates weekly or bi-weekly when it's official (I want to keep sane and healthy, after all). But I use an agile process which means I can ship updates very quickly. Maybe once every four weeks, with bug fixes and some new things from the feature request list. There are many cool ideas in the Feature Request board and I plan to work on them as soon as IMatch 5 is out.
And, getting some money from the existing user base for the first time since 2006 (did I just hear Adobe laughing?) will also be an extra incentive for me to continue with the work.
