Title: Virtual Rotation lost during Import from 3.6
Post by: kiwilink on July 02, 2013, 06:33:28 PM
Is there a setting I need to use to make sure I don't lose my virtual rotation settings when I export images/categories out of 3.6?  I had some pictures that I had rotated 90 degrees in 3.6.  I copied the folder that had these images into Imatch 5 and then used the export command to export categories and chose "Category Schema Standard Format plus File Links" and everything went O.K. except the orientation of the picture was not turned 90 degrees as it was in 3.6.

Let me know if there is something I did wrong!

Thanks!

Mike

Virtual settings are stored in the IMatch 3 database and are inaccessible for IMatch 5.

This information can only be transferred when a database import for IMatch 5 is available. See this FAQ (https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=65.0) for more info.

Mario:

O.K.  Thanks ...... I have about 40,000 images in my Imatch 3 database so as long as I can get my transformations exported when it is time to migrate I'm O.K.

Thanks!

Mike
